6 and 12 month stroke reviews All people should receive a review 6 and 12 months after their discharge from hospital following their stroke Dudley Stroke Association has been commissioned by Dudley PCT to carry these out on their behalf as a pilot for 12 months funded by the Black Country Cardiovascular Network. This started in Julyof this year and we will be contacting people to arrange to go out and visit them, as their review date come up. Coffee morning - these are held every two weeks for people who have suffered a stroke and/or carers. They meet at a local pub, some stay on for lunch. the groups is run by the people attending with our support. Family & Carers Support Group / Exercise and fun based activities 2nd Wednesday of each month 11am - 2pm 4th Thursday of each month 11.30am - 3pm Held at the Dudley Sports and Social Club, Hillcrest Ave Brierley Hill. These groups provide exercise, support, advice and the chance to meet others in a similar situation. Once therapy stops, continuing to progress doesn't have to, you can build up your skills by coming along and joining in our exercise groups. Costs are £2 for the hours exercise and £2.50 for a sandwich lunch plus teas/coffee Limited transport avaialble - contact us on 01384 271982 for more details
